Chapter Four: Ripples of Love
In that campus imbued with an artistic aura, Zhang Zhimeng and Ding Xuanyin were like the protagonists of a campus ballad, strolling hand in hand along the ginkgo-lined path, every glance between them brimming with deep affection.
Mandela and Lu Xinyi resembled a romantic poem, sharing the same book in a quiet corner of the library, their laughter echoing softly between the pages.
Zhang Leyu and Yu Ziyan were originally mere observers of this landscape of love. Zhang Leyu, like a lively musical note, always brought vitality to campus events; Yu Ziyan, akin to tranquil moonlight, gentle and reserved.
At a campus music festival, Zhang Zhimeng and Ding Xuanyin sang a duet on stage, while Mandela meticulously recorded a video for Lu Xinyi.
Zhang Leyu took charge of stage decorations, bustling with energy, and Yu Ziyan helped organize props. During a break, Yu Ziyan handed Zhang Leyu some water, softly saying, “The decorations you set up just now made the stage look stunning.” Zhang Leyu’s eyes curved in a smile: “Thanks, your way of organizing the props is really methodical.” From then on, their interactions grew more frequent.
In the library, Zhang Leyu would save a seat for Yu Ziyan; Yu Ziyan would share her own poems with Zhang Leyu.
Amidst the sweetness radiating from Zhang Zhimeng and her circle’s love, the hearts of Zhang Leyu and Yu Ziyan gradually drew closer. Finally, on an evening bathed in the glow of the setting sun, Zhang Leyu mustered the courage to take Yu Ziyan’s hand, and the seed of love blossomed.
