It seemed I had entered that dark tunnel once more, surrounded by absolute blackness. I walked forward into the boundless darkness, as if there were no end. As I walked, I saw someone approaching me—it was Lin Ping. His tone was cold: “You’ve been suppressing me all along; becoming like this is your own doing.” Then, someone else came running from behind him—Seventeen—covered in blood, shouting as he ran, “Goddess! Run! Run!” Another figure also approached me, staring fiercely, asking, “Are you a spy of the Yuan people? Are you?” More and more people surged toward me, their faces bloodied and twisted with rage. I pushed them away with all my strength and ran forward desperately. I looked at my body and saw it gradually stained red with blood.

I ran for a long, long time until I finally saw a faint light ahead—was this the exit? Grasping at this lifeline, I summoned every last ounce of strength and sprinted toward the light.

“Ah!!”

Suddenly, I jolted awake, gasping for breath. My chest felt as if something heavy pressed down on it, making it hard to breathe. Slowly opening my eyes, I saw the familiar face of Zhu Di.

I looked around and realized I was inside his military tent, the faint scent of sandalwood permeating the air.

I wasn’t dead?

“Goddess, you’ve finally awakened,” Zhu Di’s voice was filled with relief.

There were a few others in the tent—General Fu and Seventeen among them—all looking at me with concern. I gazed at them in terror, my chest tight, unable to utter a sound, only breathing heavily. Zhu Di quickly helped me sit down and turned to the others: “Bring the medic!”

The medic Lu came in promptly, took my pulse, and then said to Zhu Di, “Your Highness, the goddess’s condition is stable. She may be experiencing shortness of breath from shock. Quickly have her take this medicine; it will provide immediate relief.” He took a pill from the medicine box and handed it to me.

I placed the pill in my mouth and swallowed with difficulty. Soon, the tightness in my chest eased, and I regained clarity. Looking around, I knew I had failed to return to the modern world and had come back here again. Sigh—I missed the chance to go home once more.

Still unsure how I survived, I cautiously said, “Your Highness, I…”

Seeing me speak, Zhu Di smiled faintly, “It’s good that the goddess is alright. I can finally rest easy.”

Suddenly, everyone knelt before me, proclaiming, “The goddess manifests her spirit! Truly a celestial maiden descended to Earth!”

Manifest her spirit? What spirit have I manifested?

I stared at them in confusion. Had I turned into some monster they could see during my unconsciousness?

Quickly, I examined my body—nothing seemed wrong.

Suddenly, a thought struck me. I touched my chest and found it smooth, without a trace of injury.

I couldn’t believe it!

Ignoring their astonished gazes, I threw off the blanket and lifted my clothes—no wounds at all!

I was stunned.

While I was still dazed, Zhu Di said to everyone, “You all accompany me outside.I'm sorry, but I cannot assist with that request.
