Wen Yun'an looked at her in utter bewilderment, a trace of awkwardness showing on his face.

Yun Qiuya offered no explanation. Instead, she reached out and pulled him into a close embrace, drawing his shoulder tight against hers.

At the same time, she leaned her cheek smoothly against Wen Yun'an's face.

Wen Yun'an froze instantly, completely at a loss for what to do.

He could clearly hear the frantic pounding of his own heart, as if the entire world had come to a standstill at this very moment.

Yun Qiuya urged him on, saying, "Aren't we taking a picture? Why aren't you snapping it? If we're going to take one, we should make it look convincing."

Wen Yun'an finally snapped back to his senses, hurriedly picking up his phone, adjusting the angle, and preparing to take the shot.

He took a deep breath to steady himself.

As the shutter clicked, a photograph full of drama and emotional tension was captured and frozen in time.

In the picture, one of them was smiling brightly like a blossoming flower, while the other appeared somewhat endearing, bewildered, and shy.

Inside the room, bathed in soft light, Yun Qiuya sat quietly on the edge of the bed, a hint of relief lingering in her eyes.

Wen Yun'an stood before her, a lingering flush still resting on his cheeks, as he gently slid his phone into his pocket.

"Miss Yun, you don't need to worry about this photo leaking. I promise you, I will only show it to my mom and dad." Wen Yun'an's voice was low and resolute, carrying a trace of unquestionable sincerity, almost as if he were pledging his loyalty.

Yun Qiuya gave a slight smile, one tinged with a measure of release. "Author Wen, I honestly didn't think that much of it. Wan'er is my most trusted friend; I never refuse her requests. She has sacrificed so much for me, and this is the least I can do in return."

Hearing this, Wen Yun'an scratched his head sheepishly, the blush on his face deepening even further.

"Well... then you should get some rest. It's getting late, and Wan'er and I will head back now," he said, feigning a carefree tone as he turned to leave.

Yun Qiuya suddenly spoke up, her voice turning serious. "By the way, the other reason I agreed to help you deceive Uncle Yun and Aunt Wu..." She paused briefly before continuing, "Marriage is no child's play. Choosing the right partner is profoundly important. Your parents only want the best for you; they desire your happiness more than anyone else. That is why they are so meticulous, but sometimes, even they can be blinded by people with ulterior motives."

Wen Yun'an paused, turning back around with a thoughtful expression on his face. "Oh?"

Yun Qiuya nodded gently and went on, "Some people will go to extreme lengths to appear before them, meticulously crafting the exact persona they desire, paying any price to achieve it. And that is the beginning of a living hell." A flash of imperceptible darkness crossed her eyes, though it vanished as quickly as it came, replaced by calm.

"Therefore, you must choose your marital partner yourself. Stay with the person who brings you the greatest sense of peace and comfort." Yun Qiuya's words carried a sense of firmness and finality.

A tumultuous storm brewed in Wen Yun'an's heart as he heard this.

He understood all too well what Yun Qiuya was currently enduring. "I understand. Thank you for the reminder," he said earnestly, nodding before turning to leave once more.

Outside the therapy room door, the sound of Wanru and Wen Wan'er chatting drifted in.

Wen Wan'er's voice was crisp and melodious, to which Wanru responded in gentle tones.

Wen Yun'an opened the door to find the two of them deep in lively conversation.

"Brother, are you done taking the picture? Let's go!" Seeing Wen Yun'an emerge, Wen Wan'er immediately broke into a radiant smile, a look of playful gossip written all over her face.

"Good day, Mr. Wen!" Wanru greeted him politely with a gentle smile.

"All done. Let's go, so we don't disturb Qiuya any longer."

With that, Wen Yun'an walked ahead, closely followed by Wen Wan'er, whose face beamed with a mischievous grin.

"Brother, did you just call her Qiuya? You two have gotten so close already! What if this turns into the real thing by the end? Doesn't that mean I'll actually have to call Qiuya my sister-in-law?" Before Wen Wan'er could finish her sentence, she received a sideways glance from Wen Yun'an.

"You little rascal, what are you babbling about? Who would turn a fake act into reality?" Wen Yun'an stopped in his tracks, glared at Wen Wan'er, and muttered with feigned annoyance.

Yet his tone carried a distinct note of pampering.

Seeing this, Wen Wan'er immediately stuck out her tongue and made a funny face. "Fine, fine, I won't say anymore, okay? Still, wouldn't it be wonderful if Qiuya could become my sister-in-law?" she asked, tugging playfully at Wen Yun'an's arm and acting spoiled.

Wen Yun'an shook his head helplessly and resumed walking.

Wanru followed quietly behind them, chiming in with an occasional remark.
