Volume 1, Chapter 48: I Really Deserve to Die
The following day, Su Yian rose early. Taking Dingxiang and a young servant named Tiezhu with her, she boarded the Princess Consort of Chu’s private carriage and set off to inspect the estate outside the city.
When the ruler of Yan saw the Great Zhou cavalry charging toward the deity in his eyes, half his heart lit up. His body trembled slightly as he uttered a single word.
Before Ye Fan could react, the liquid flowed directly from Princess Fengyi’s mouth into his. It then dissolved within his mouth.
“Us?” Someone simply turned his swivel chair around so that he was facing her directly, eager to admire her expression.
A vast amount of incantations and images poured into Gu Chen’s mind. He felt as though his head were about to burst from the sheer weight of the information. His eyes rolled wildly in their sockets, thunder roared inside his skull, and he could even see visions of heaven and earth collapsing.
Jiang Chengce immediately went to the washroom and washed the tearstains from his face. He then grinned at his reflection and composed his sorrowful expression. He did not want Zhang Mengxi to notice anything unusual when he returned to the ward.
Ye Fan thought for a while. Without even entering the house, he secretly sent word to Nan Yuechen, telling him to take a group of brothers to the Death Desert and wait for him there.
“That’s why I have plenty of time to enjoy life, instead of running around all day like you. Life is very short,” Huang Jun said with a sigh.
The two undead armies, each maintaining perfect formation, did not deliberately crash into one another. The corpse demons leading them would even give a slight nod before restraining their skeletons and preventing them from clashing with the opposing force.
Returning to the Eastern Capital, Feng Luoyu was filled with emotion. The last time he had entered the city, the people of Shengyang had still been his enemies. Now, however, they had become his friends. One could only say that fate had a strange sense of humor.
Everyone present knew that these two would undoubtedly become influential figures in the Alchemy Hall in the future.
The sound of machinery starting up followed. A large section of the ceiling above Gao Yang suddenly collapsed, revealing a massive door beneath it.
Seeing this, Ziguang and Hongxia could not help but breathe a sigh of relief. They then continued directing the disciples of their sect with calm precision, urging them to operate the protective formation at full strength.
Wu Wei felt his vision go dark and grew slightly dizzy. He closed his eyes and waited. After a while, a system notification sounded in his mind.
The people around him were all somewhat dispirited. Gao Yang alone, though equally solemn-faced, knew the truth and nearly laughed aloud. That silly girl was doing perfectly well. Gao Yang even suspected that she could survive just fine after every zombie had been wiped out.
When she said this, her face unexpectedly flushed slightly. Seeing it, Chen Ao secretly laughed. He had never imagined that this bold and vigorous young woman could be shy as well. Yet even in her embarrassment, she possessed a charming innocence that made his heart pound.
Gao Yang, however, warily glanced toward the shadows nearby. Liang Sitai came trembling out, stealing fearful looks at Old Liu from the corners of his eyes.
“Let’s go. We can be more aggressive this time. If necessary, we’ll dive straight beneath the tower.” After gaining an overwhelming advantage in equipment, Su Yang’s aggressive side emerged in full.
No one knew what Daniel was thinking, but everything he displayed was unmistakably an effort to uphold justice.
This draconic might was a suppression born of bloodline—a superior’s pressure upon an inferior. These two dragons were of direct descent, making them even less capable of resisting the oppression of such pure blood.
It was a rather clever move on the part of World-Proud. Unfortunately, the difference in strength between the two sides was simply too great. By the time he reached level four, his condition could no longer support him. If he remained in the middle lane, he would be forcibly killed.
