At half past three in the morning, when most people were sound asleep, a group of individuals gathered in a remote rental apartment, leaning by the window and watching the distant city’s movements.

In this not-so-large apartment, there were more than ten people present. Seven were standing by the window engaged in conversation, while five were tightly bound and confined in a corner of the room… It was almost like a human trafficking den.

“This is truly insane, even more so than I imagined. If my grandfather knew I was involved in such a reckless kidnapping, he’d probably tear me apart,” Aries said with a smile as he looked at the bound captives in the corner and spoke to those nearby.

“What? Is your grandfather a cop or something?” Jenny teased. “Because you’re committing a crime? Don’t worry, Chen Mo is the one who actually kidnapped them; you’re just an accomplice.”

Chen Mo chuckled softly.

Chuhau took a bite of chocolate and continued, “Of course not. It’s just that this kind of crime is so childish and low-level. For a direct heir of the Emmons family, if they want to kidnap or kill someone, they’d just say so outright and handle it however they want. There’s no need to live under the same roof with the kidnapped like this. For the Emmons family, this is really quite humiliating.”

“But given the circumstances, if your grandfather did find out the truth, I’m sure he’d forgive you,” Chuhau added.

“That’s true,” Aries nodded with a smile. He wasn’t particularly afraid; he was just making conversation to bond with his teammates.

“Hey, is your family really that powerful?” Jenny asked dazedly. “Aren’t you a doctor? Are doctors’ families really that influential?”

“Ha! You’ve really got it all wrong,” J chuckled. “You’ve never been exposed to that world. That’s the Emmons family—nobility among nobles. If you were to compare their global power, it would be like the gods from mythology, like Zeus.”

Hearing this, Jenny swallowed hard. “No way? Aries, you’re actually such a big shot?”

“That’s an exaggeration,” Aries laughed awkwardly. “But we do have some influence. In this world, the Emmons family still wields some power. For example, the hotel we’re staying in and the funds come from them. Unfortunately, our family’s influence in North America is limited, or else we wouldn’t need Mr. Chen Mo’s help to get firearms and explosives.”

“Wait, wait, wait. I’m getting confused,” Jenny said, her mind spinning. “Isn’t this the world of the Apocalypse of the Skies? How can the Emmons family exist here? This is a reincarnation world!”

Chuhau smiled lightly. “You’re only realizing this now? Actually, Aries contacted his family within minutes after leaving the divine shield. He even met with family members yesterday. After confirming this really is the Apocalypse of the Skies world, he ordered the Emmons family to enter full war readiness. Don’t underestimate a super noble heir, Jenny.”

Aries’ gaze sharpened briefly before softening again. “Yes, I contacted the family yesterday and met with members. We even conducted some medical tests to prove I am indeed Aries Emmons… Unfortunately, the Emmons family exists in this world too, and the Aries Emmons here is working in a hospital in England. There are two ‘me’s in this world.”

“In science fiction terms, it’s a parallel world. Besides this world’s me, I’ve also investigated all of you here.”

“J is preparing for the next underground boxing match, Jenny is living quietly at school, and I even found you, Mr. Osage, right? The undercover member of the terrorist organization.”

Osage’s body stiffened sharply but quickly relaxed.

Aries then looked at the blonde woman beside them. “As for this lady, although you still refuse to reveal your name, it wasn’t hard to find information about this world’s version of you… Unfortunately, you’re still suffering domestic abuse from your husband here.”

The blonde woman shuddered and lowered her head even further.

At this point, Aries turned to Chuhau and Chen Mo, speaking seriously: “Except for you two—Chuhau and Mr. Chen—even with all the power of my family and the help of several Asian noble families and our intelligence network, we couldn’t find a single trace of you. It’s as if you appeared out of nowhere. Can you tell us why you’re so mysterious?”

Chuhau’s secrecy was due to the nature of the Rebel Organization, and Chen Mo, as Aries said, seemed to have literally appeared from thin air. If not, that would be truly terrifying.

“Me?” Chen Mo shrugged. “Maybe it’s because of my uniqueness.”

“If you can’t find any information on me, it’s because my existence… is something even your family isn’t qualified to know about,” Chuhau replied with an impressively cool line. “Anyway, this isn’t the real world anymore, so let me ask you—have you ever heard of the Rebel Organization?”

“No,” Aries was momentarily stunned. “Is it some religious group?”

“Nothing like that,” Chuhau shook his head. “You haven’t heard of it? That’s strange. Maybe that means I don’t exist in this world… There are so many things I can’t figure out, and I can’t explain them all right now.”

“Then let’s explain everything once we return to the divine realm,” Chen Mo said, nudging Chuhau before walking to the window. He looked up and casually pulled out a pair of sunglasses from his item space and put them on.

“Time’s almost up. The aliens are about to arrive… So, shall we proceed according to plan?”

“Yeah, let’s proceed as planned.” Chuhau nodded, taking out sunglasses from his pocket to wear. The others followed suit.

Everyone couldn’t help but look up to the sky, where countless blue light orbs were slowly descending, like stars falling from the heavens…

The Apocalypse of the Skies had officially begun!
