Chapter 134: Entanglement

Qin Miaoyu asked in surprise, "How did it end up over by the Sanhuai River?"

"Your phone was thrown there, which misled us. We spent hours searching around the Sanhuai River and the Sanhuai Mountains."

It was only then that Qin Miaoyu remembered Su Yikun. She glanced at Louis, then whispered to Lu Qi'an, "It was Su Yikun who kidnapped me. When I woke up, I was in a room at the Huaxuan Hotel. He seemed to have accomplices; he wanted to get close to Louis to strike a deal."

Lu Qi'an also cast a glance toward Louis. "Was it the Liang family?"

"I don't know. We ran into Liang Siquan just now, and he really seemed to be unaware that Su Yikun had brought me to the hotel."

Lu Qi'an frowned deeply. The Liang family, Su Yikun, Louis—there was no telling what the connection was.

"Where is Su Yikun?"

"I don't know. I escaped when he tried to take me to the presidential suite upstairs. I have no idea where he is now, but he had two other people with him."

Lu Qi'an’s expression darkened. Su Yikun!

Liang Siyuan and Zheng Suning soon arrived at the Huaxuan Hotel as well. Once Liang Siyuan learned from Qin Miaoyu that Su Yikun was behind it, he finally understood what Liang Siquan’s message to him had meant.

"Su Yikun is currently eating in the second-floor restaurant with Liang Siquan. This is the message Siquan sent me earlier. I didn't understand it at the time, but now I do. He must have realized Qi'an's identity and knew that Qi'an was acquainted with Louis, so he was trying to seize the opportunity to curry favor."

"Since he's upstairs, let's go find him. Kidnapping Miaoyu and creating a smokescreen to lure us to the Sanhuai River—this matter won't be settled so easily," Lu Qi'an said.

The group headed to the second-floor restaurant. However, only Liang Siyuan entered. He walked up to Liang Siquan’s table and placed a hand on Su Yikun's shoulder.

Su Yikun jumped in fright at the sudden touch. Seeing it was Liang Siyuan, he patted his chest and said, "Second Brother, you startled me! You appeared so silently, you nearly scared me to death!"

Liang Siyuan curled his lips into a cold, derisive smile. "Oh? You can be scared to death? With your level of audacity, I don't think that day will ever come."

"Second Brother, you... hey, hey, hey! What are you doing?" Su Yikun was forced to stand up by the pressure of Liang Siyuan’s grip.

"Nothing much. I just want to take you to meet a few people!"

"Meet whom?"

"A few people who will give you quite the surprise. Let's go."

Liang Siyuan led him out of the restaurant, with Liang Siquan following behind. When Su Yikun saw that Liang Siquan was also trailing them, the unease in his heart faded significantly. But when he saw the group waiting at the restaurant entrance—especially Qin Miaoyu—he turned to bolt.

Liang Siyuan, however, would not let him escape so easily; he immediately twisted Su Yikun’s arms behind his back.

Su Yikun immediately begged Liang Siquan for help, "Big Brother, save me!"

"Big Brother?" Liang Siyuan glanced at Liang Siquan, then continued with heavy sarcasm, "Don't you know? It was Big Brother who told us you were eating here. Otherwise, how do you think we arrived so promptly?"

Su Yikun looked at Liang Siquan. "Liang Siquan, have you forgotten our plan? You were the one leading this! Now you want to wash your hands of it?"

Liang Siquan remained unfazed. "We did indeed harbor thoughts of using my little sister, but we never intended to kidnap her and force her to do anything! You were the one driven by greed for quick success; what does that have to do with me?"

"Nothing to do with you? Of course it does! You may not have given me the order, but your wife told me to do it! She told me to kidnap Qin Miaoyu as soon as she found out she was planning to leave Nancheng today!"

Liang Siquan’s composure shattered. "Impossible! Why would she tell you to do that?"

He never expected Wei Wei to be involved in this. If that were true, would his previous plans still be viable? The others were also stunned by this revelation.

Zheng Suning asked, "Do you have any proof?"

Su Yikun replied, "Of course."

"Fine, the police are here. Tell them!"

Su Yikun looked up in shock. "Isn't Qin Miaoyu perfectly fine? Why call the police?"

"Miaoyu is fine, but your actions are real. By my count, you've committed several offenses. Go to the station with the police and confess honestly!"

As Su Yikun was led away, Qin Miaoyu looked at the elevator door and decided to return to the room. Zheng Suning asked, puzzled, "What are you going back for?"

"I was kidnapped to that hotel room. If it hasn't been cleaned yet, the rope they used on me should still be there! It might be evidence!"

"There's no need for you to go personally. Just have your second brother go. Let's go back and rest first, how about that?"

Qin Miaoyu knew Sister Suning was concerned for her and that her second brother could easily handle it, so she agreed.

At eight o'clock that evening, Liang Sixuan received news that her husband, Su Yikun, was in the police station. Because the caller was one of her typical "plastic" friends, she didn't believe it at all. Too lazy to argue, she hung up after a few words.

Unexpectedly, another call came shortly after—it was Xia Min! She thought Xia Min was calling to invite her shopping, but Xia Min said, "Sister Sixuan, your husband has been caught and taken to the police station!"

"What? Xia Min, are you joking with me? How could he be caught? Are you guys playing some kind of truth-or-dare game?"

Xia Min hurriedly said, "No, it's true! Sister Sixuan, we just walked past the station and saw your husband being taken inside!"

Liang Sixuan stood up abruptly. What on earth was Su Yikun doing to get himself arrested? What was going on? Could it be that he was caught because of some woman?

Considering this possibility, she sat back down immediately. If Su Yikun had been caught for that, she certainly shouldn't go; she would be too humiliated. She would let him stay in the cell to learn a lesson.

Therefore, even when Su’s mother came to ask about the situation, Liang Sixuan only said, "He's probably in some woman's bed again!"

Liang Siyuan continued to investigate matters regarding Wei Wei, while Lu Qi'an drove Qin Miaoyu and Zheng Suning back to the Dongshan villa. On the way, Qin Miaoyu bought a new phone, as the screen of her previous one had been shattered.

It was ten o'clock at night by the time they reached the villa. Knowing how much effort Lu Qi'an had put into finding Miaoyu that day, Zheng Suning had the housekeeper prepare a guest room so that Lu Qi'an could stay the night.

When Lu Qi'an came out of his room to get some water, Qin Miaoyu was still sitting on the sofa, having not yet gone up to rest. He sat down beside her and asked, "Are you unable to sleep because you're still afraid?"
