Su Wan-ning frowned, wearing an exaggerated expression of utter heartbreak, while the production staff nearby couldn’t help but chuckle. They realized that this actress was quite different from her reputation—not only was she free of airs, but she also had an unexpected sense of humor.

“My little ancestor, behave yourself, will you? It’s taken so much effort to clean up your image. We’re almost at our destination, so you’d better put on your best performance and, whatever you do, don’t attract any more negative attention,” Vincent nagged anxiously at her side. Su Wan-ning waved him off nonchalantly, “Relax, with so many people liking me just now, sooner or later I’ll have them all falling for my charm—”

“But weren’t they also interested in me and my sister?” Sui-sui suddenly interjected, once again exposing their mother.

Su Wan-ning dared not provoke her eldest son, nodding quickly, “Yes, yes, yes, not only are they captivated by me, they’re enchanted by my children too. Our whole family will have every viewer under our spell!”

Amid laughter and banter, their car entered a little-known mountain village. The road was nothing but dirt, and by the time they arrived, some people had already been jolted into nausea.

As soon as they got out, dust swirled around them, and the rough setting clashed starkly with the families’ carefully styled appearances. Only Su Wan-ning seemed somewhat grounded. Her children, Nian-nian and Sui-sui, were dressed casually as well, with more playful styles, but all wore comfortable sneakers suitable for running around.

By contrast, every other mother had dressed her child like royalty. Qian-qian wore a princess dress and patent leather shoes, and even Ming-ming sported overalls with a white shirt, his little belly bulging out like a ball.

At this moment, the live broadcast began, with cameras trained on the families.

“Is the stream back on? What happened earlier, were they just teasing us?”

“What kind of nonsense is this? Cutting off the broadcast so suddenly—if you don’t want to stream, don’t bother turning it on.”

The moment the broadcast resumed, Su Wan-ning’s stream exploded with viewers, shooting straight to number one.

“Sister Su! What happened with the wild vegetable story? Why did you cut off before finishing?”

“But honestly, the location the show picked this time is terrible. Is it humane to make these pampered celebrities live in such conditions?”

“I’m starting to wonder if these stars can stick it out. The last two seasons had great locations—why is this one so awful?”

As the live feed started and the cameraman was still adjusting his angle, before he even focused on Su Wan-ning and her children, the comments poured in relentlessly.

“Point the camera at Sister Su, quick!”

“What’s going on with all this shaking? Su Wan-ning’s own livestream was steadier than this.”

“It’s been twenty-eight minutes since I last saw my precious Nian-nian and Sui-sui—I need them back to life!”

“Where’s my sleepy little SpongeBob? Bring her out!”

“Forget the crew, just let Sister Su handle the camera herself!”

The other three families were also streaming. Yan Shanshan’s son was the first to get out, gentlemanly offering his hand to help his mother step down, presenting a harmonious picture for the camera, flawless in every way.

In contrast, Feng Rui’s situation was far less harmonious. As soon as the car stopped, chubby Ming-ming leapt out, wrinkling his nose at the surroundings.

“What kind of dump is this? Tell my dad—I want to stay in the city!”

“Poor little young master.”

“That child is clearly spoiled and willful—a product of overindulgence. Looks like Feng Rui’s job as stepmother isn’t easy.”

Feng Rui followed him out, nearly twisting her ankle on the uneven ground in her high heels, almost toppling onto the dirt. She frowned instantly, but catching sight of the camera, she forced a smile.

“Ming-ming, don’t run off—come, stay close to Mommy.”

Ming-ming turned and made a face at her, his voice ringing out bright and clear, “You’re not my real mommy!”

“Seems our young master isn’t feeling grateful.”

“Look at Feng Rui, putting on such a humble act—she’ll endure anything for money.”

Ever since Sheng Ying retired, her fashion sense had been impeccable, which explained how she’d raised a child star. Mother and daughter wore matching outfits, both in skirts, but as soon as they stepped out, Sheng Ying frowned.

Qian-qian, noticing how inconvenient her outfit was, simply squatted down and tied a knot in her skirt. It made moving easier, but her look was instantly ruined, prompting a wave of laughter in the comments.

“Qian-qian is such a little tomboy—so unconcerned with appearances!”

“I can already see her as a cool older sister in a few years!”

All three families stood by their cars, some busy surveying the environment, others interacting affectionately with their children.

Only Su Wan-ning and her group did things differently. After getting out, she headed straight to the trunk to help the staff unload luggage.

Su Wan-ning pushed up her sleeves and, with one hand, lifted a medium-sized suitcase with ease.

“She’s starting to win me over—why is she the only one carrying her own luggage?”

“These spoiled young masters and misses each brought enough for eight people and expect the crew to carry everything. Do they still think they're here to be pampered?”

“Su Wan-ning is such a show-off—lifting a few suitcases and she’s got you all fooled.”

Every viewer hopped between the four streams like kids in a melon patch, but Su Wan-ning’s stream attracted the most comments by far.

Once the luggage was unloaded, Su Wan-ning scooped Sui-sui up with one arm and perched him on top of a suitcase, steadying him with one hand while holding Nian-nian’s hand with the other, and set off toward the show’s designated meeting point.

“The one in high heels next door has already twisted her ankle, but here’s Su Wan-ning, handling two kids without breaking a sweat—so impressive!”

“Is it too late to have a son? I want Nian-nian as my daughter-in-law!”
