A Note on Publication

Tomorrow the book goes on sale, which is rather rushed, but after all the cuts and revisions it still comes to about 260,000 characters, so it is far from short.

I have a great deal I want to say. I typed a lot, then deleted it all again.

People’s joys and sorrows are not shared, and I will not beg for sympathy. There is no need.

So let me speak practically.

On the day it goes on sale, that is, tomorrow, there will be a ten-chapter burst.

I am asking for a wave of first-day subscriptions.

A first-day subscription refers to the number of subscriptions to the first VIP chapter within twenty-four hours of publication.

I would also like to ask for a few other things. If you are willing to leave a free recommendation vote, that would be wonderful too.

This is the first time since this book began, apart from the author’s note in the first chapter, that I have asked for anything, and I also hope to receive the support of the readers who like this book.

And a word about the bonus-update rules.

As long as the first-day subscriptions exceed five hundred, I will not even speak of bonus chapters; from then on, I will update six thousand words a day.

If they pass one thousand, I will update eight thousand words a day.

If they reach fifteen hundred, I will update ten thousand words a day.

Actually, I made a similar promise with my previous book, but sadly the first-day subscriptions were so poor they nearly made me cry. The ratio of collections to subscriptions was well over thirty to one, and I did not meet even one target. Still, whether or not that book ultimately succeeds, my updates should at least be secure now—I have already earned both badges for ten-thousand-word days.

For this book, my actual goal is simply to get past five hundred, with a thirty-to-one collection-to-subscription ratio.

If the average subscriptions improve well in the future, I will also add bonus updates at the appropriate time.

As for the updates I owe from the previous book, I will repay them little by little as well.

For tips, the current plan is one bonus chapter for every five thousand points of reward currency.
