Chapter 105: No Inspiration, Just Filler
“Then I don’t need your help either!” Takatsuki Sen shouted at the manager before suddenly rushing out of the alley.
The manager reached out to grab her, but Mu Yang caught hold of him.
“She needs some time to calm down,” Mu Yang told the manager.
“I don’t want to lose her again. Besides, neither she nor I know how to survive in this world.” The manager looked at Mu Yang.
“You don’t need to worry about that. Although I can’t pinpoint her exact location, I still know roughly where she is. She and I have entered into an equal contract, so I can sense it whenever she is in danger. As for surviving here, aside from a few changes, everything else is practically the same.”
The system had just informed Mu Yang that it had created a subordinate system for Takatsuki Sen. However, it would not activate until her emotions had settled.
“Come with me to my place. Although the contract you signed is one of master and servant, I won’t restrict you in many respects. I trust your character, Manager. I also have an older sister in this world, but she doesn’t know that I crossed over from another world. Please don’t tell her,” Mu Yang said.
“Since you’ve already arranged everything, I have no objections. But should I call you Young Master or Young Master Mu Yang?” The manager looked at him.
“Just call me Mu Yang. It’ll be more convenient. Unless necessary, there’s no need to use any other form of address,” Mu Yang replied.
“Elder Sister, I’m back.” Mu Yang spoke as he pushed open the door.
“Xiao Mu! Where have you been? I searched all over and couldn’t find you!” the Snow Empress exclaimed.
“I left Shrek Academy and brought someone back to protect us,” Mu Yang said.
“Have you told Elder Xuan and the others?” the Snow Empress asked.
“Not yet. I came to see you first.”
“Then go ahead.” As she spoke, the Snow Empress fixed her eyes on the manager, her gaze seeming to say: Don’t even think about harming Mu Yang, or I’ll make you regret it!
“Let’s go.” Mu Yang motioned to the manager, then headed toward Elder Xuan’s room.
“I don’t care about anything else. As long as he poses no threat to Shrek, it’s fine. But the guard you hired doesn’t seem to be an ordinary soul master.” Elder Xuan’s eyes flashed, and a tremendous aura surged toward the manager.
Yoshimura Kuzen did not retreat. He endured the pressure head-on, though a thin sheen of sweat appeared on his forehead.
“Elder Xuan, you don’t need to do this. You know my strength. A whole group of ordinary soul masters might not be as powerful as I am alone. Below the Soul Emperor level, there are hardly any who can defeat me. And if they were stronger than I am, I wouldn’t have the money to hire them anyway. The manager only agreed because he and I reached an agreement,” Mu Yang explained.
“All right. Since you’ve given me your word, I’ll let it go this time. But next time, I won’t allow you to bring just anyone into Shrek,” Elder Xuan said, waving Mu Yang away.
“Are all the people in this world as powerful as Elder Xuan?” the manager asked.
“Of course not. Elder Xuan can be considered one of the people standing at the very pinnacle of this world. Even now, his strength ranks among the top ten. You have nothing to worry about. I’ll explain this world to you now,” Mu Yang said.
“All right,” the manager replied.
