“But aren’t those your subjects? Can you truly bear to kill them for soul rings?” Mu Yang asked.

“Not all soul beasts in the Extreme North are my subjects. Some are criminals who refuse to obey my orders. They disrupt the balance of the Extreme North when I’m absent. I have decreed that killing is allowed in the Extreme North, but complete annihilation of clans is forbidden. Soul beasts under a hundred years old may not be preyed upon. Some rare soul beasts are off-limits. These are the rules we follow. The beasts we seek fall into this category. I decided this before I took human form,” the Snow Emperor explained.

“Then I’ll leave it to you, Miss Mu Xue,” the store owner said.

Mu Yang, using an eighth-level flying soul guidance device, flew with the Snow Emperor towards the Extreme North. The store owner also flew using feather wings. In the Douluo world, the Her Package, which originally required RC cells for extensive use, could now be powered by soul force instead; the consumption of soul force was much slower than RC cells. This granted the store owner the ability to fly with feather wings. Although he couldn’t fly for long periods, the speed was much faster than walking. A journey that once took half a month was now completed in five days, reaching the edge of the Extreme North.

During these five days, the Snow Emperor and Mu Yang sampled the store owner’s cooking. The dark-gold terror claw bear meat was robust and elastic, transformed into various dishes by the store owner’s skill.

After a satisfying meal, Mu Yang and the Snow Emperor lay on the grassland. The store owner smiled, saying, “This is my first time cooking with these ingredients.
