At the edge of the Far North, the Snow Emperor let out a mysterious, tranquil call that echoed far and wide across the frozen expanse. Before long, a snow leopard appeared beside Mu Yang. This was a precaution the Snow Emperor had made after his profound cultivation—so that even when facing troubles in the Far North, matters could still be resolved there. This was also thanks to the Snow Emperor’s immense prestige in that region.

After emerging from the illusionary realm, the Snow Emperor remained deeply concerned about the Far North. Since neither he nor the Ice Emperor were present, even a few Super Douluo could wreak havoc, slaughtering freely across the land. Such thoughts weighed heavily upon him. Yet, seeing the snow leopard arrive, his worries seemed perhaps unnecessary.

The snow leopard lowered its body slightly, signaling the Snow Emperor to mount its back. This startled the store manager subtly. According to Mu Yang's explanation, most spirit beasts possessed their own dignity and would never allow someone to sit upon them so readily. Only those spirit beasts older than ten thousand years, having gained some measure of intelligence, might submit themselves. Most beasts younger than a millennium relied purely on instinct—some might ponder briefly, but never deeply. Yet this snow leopard was clearly a thousand-year beast. How could it willingly bow to allow someone to sit?

Mu Yang noticed the store manager’s doubt and said softly, “You should go ahead, manager. This is only the outer ring of the Far North. Although few come here, some still do. When things settle inside, I will gradually explain your sister’s identity.”

“Sister, there’s no need to worry. The manager is someone you can trust.”

The Snow Emperor nodded slightly. “First, we must acquire soul rings. If the spirit beasts here resemble the Tengyu Snake, there’s also a degenerating Ice Blue Scorpion. It mainly consumes spirit beasts to enhance its cultivation. Its primary attribute isn’t ice but the poison it shed during its evolution. Because of its unique evolutionary path, it was imprisoned in the ice prison rather than slain. Its tail tip still carries a venomous stinger; even a hundred-thousand-year-old spirit beast would suffer greatly if struck. Yet, the ultimate ice suppresses all poisons, which is why the Ice Emperor captured it with ease.”

The Ice Bear King, Little White, obediently lay before the Snow Emperor.

“Little White, you’ve gotten fatter again,” the Snow Emperor said, patting its head.

“Snow Emperor, what brings you back this time?” Little White asked, though his tone remained respectful.

“To visit the ice prison and obtain some soul rings from criminals,” the Snow Emperor replied.

“Understood, Snow Emperor.” With that, Little White pushed against a nearby ice mountain with great force. Slowly, the massive ice shifted, releasing a chill that pierced the soul. Beneath lay dozens of spirit beasts frozen within the ice.

“Manager, the Ice Blue Scorpion you need is the one nearest the entrance. Shatter the ice surrounding it, and the scorpion will perish immediately,” the Snow Emperor said, then turned and strode deeper into the ice prison.

Every spirit beast inside was frozen solid. Breaking the ice meant instant death for those trapped within. Yet the beasts were alive inside the ice. Only the Snow Emperor and Ice Emperor knew how to melt the ice without killing them, allowing the imprisoned beasts to survive. Those within could not escape their tribulation, but the ice prison severely restricted their cultivation, making it nearly impossible for any to pass through their tribulation while confined.

The store manager approached the Ice Blue Scorpion...
