"Sister, if I have the ability to make this Yin Dragon before me into my soul ring, would you agree to let it become my soul ring?" Mu Yang asked the Snow Empress.

The Snow Empress hesitated for a moment before replying haltingly, "I suppose it is possible, but..."

"If it is possible, that is enough. You do not need to worry about the rest," Mu Yang said.

The Snow Empress wanted to say more, but she paused to reflect. This was the Ice Prison, and those trapped within the ice were soul beasts that had committed heinous crimes. There was nothing inappropriate about turning this demigod beast into little Mu's soul ring. Yet, why did she feel such reluctance to agree?

The reason was difficult for the Snow Empress to pinpoint. It was simply because the Yin Dragon was the Yin side of the planet; no creature native to this world would willingly kill the Yin Dragon or the Yang Phoenix. This was why the Ice God had not killed the Yin Dragon, but merely sealed it in ice—because the Ice God was a being of this world.

The Snow Empress felt puzzled by her own reaction, unable to find the cause. She suspected that the Yin Dragon itself might be interfering with her thoughts. Fearing that her presence might hinder Mu Yang, she chose to distance herself from the Yin Dragon and returned to the entrance of the Ice Prison.

Mu Yang stood before the Yin Dragon and drew his blade, Hundred Resentments. He then slipped into a state of suspended animation for one minute.

During that minute of feigned death, the Yin Dragon, sensing the lethal threat posed by Hundred Resentments, began to struggle frantically. While the Yin Dragon was indeed sealed by divine ice, its consciousness remained active. In truth, it had only allowed itself to be sealed because it had lived for so long that it had become bored. Had it truly wished to break free, would it have remained trapped, given the special authority it held over the planet? It had merely been sleeping.

But now, feeling the threat of death, the Yin Dragon struggled desperately to break the divine ice. It succeeded, but at the very moment of its release, its heavenly tribulation descended. A tribulation accumulated over tens of thousands of years was unleashed in an instant, locking onto the Yin Dragon.

"Boom!"

The tribulation, gathered over hundreds of thousands of years, struck the Yin Dragon like a waterfall. Although the Yin Dragon possessed special privileges that prevented its immediate death, it was nonetheless paralyzed by the massive discharge of lightning. This was only the first bolt; more were to follow.

Bolt after bolt of heavenly lightning struck the Yin Dragon. As the final bolt of the tribulation began to condense, Mu Yang slowly opened his eyes. He instantly grasped the Yin Dragon's current state and began charging Hundred Resentments, timing his strike to coincide with the final surge of the tribulation.

The heavenly tribulation transformed into a small, blood-red serpent, rushing toward the Yin Dragon. Mu Yang swung his blade at the same moment, and the blood-colored serpent coiled around Hundred Resentments.

This was one of the drawbacks of interfering with a heavenly tribulation. If someone attempted to kill a soul beast that was already enduring a tribulation, the tribulation would attach itself to that person's attack, forcing them to bear the brunt of the divine lightning as well.

Mu Yang's strike was amplified to the extreme by the tribulation. His body was ravaged by lightning and rapidly repaired in an endless cycle as he brought his blade down upon the Yin Dragon. The Yin Dragon let out a mournful cry...
