Chapter 115: Returning to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well
The Ice Empress went to consult with the other leaders of the spirit beasts in the Far North, while Mu Yang and the Shopkeeper were escorted to the great hall of the Ice Empress’s former residence.
"Shopkeeper, there is a spirit beast I need inside the Ice Prison. However, that beast holds a very unique status on this planet. Since I killed it and absorbed its spirit ring, the situation has become complicated. It seems we may have to stay in the Far North for quite some time," Mu Yang explained.
"It is of no consequence. In truth, one place is much the same as another. Since I have signed the agreement, it signifies that I shall follow your lead," the Shopkeeper replied.
...
The negotiations on the Ice Empress’s side proceeded smoothly. The vast majority of the spirit beast leaders agreed to enter the pocket dimension Mu Yang had prepared within the Far North. A small number of them were initially reluctant to leave the cultivation treasures of their own territories, but once they heard the Ice Empress confirm that the space was identical to the Far North, they readily consented.
The success of these talks was largely due to the immense prestige the Ice Empress had cultivated in the Far North long before her reincarnation. Nearly every tribe, great or small, had benefited from her aid at some point. Furthermore, ever since she decreed that no spirit beasts under a hundred years of age were to be hunted and that no species was to be driven to extinction, her influence had soared like a rocket.
Over the next three months, every spirit beast in the Far North migrated into Mu Yang's dimension. Mu Yang kept the portal open for the entirety of that duration.
Three months later, with the exception of a few isolated beasts that could not be reached and those locked within the Ice Prison, all the spirit beasts had successfully relocated.
"Big Sister, if I were to destroy this planet, would you stop me?" Mu Yang asked the Ice Empress.
The Ice Empress was momentarily stunned, then she gently patted Mu Yang’s head and said, "As long as you desire it, Little Mu, I will not stop you. Conversely, if it is something you do not wish to do, then even if I must risk my life, I will not let you be forced into it."
"Thank you, Big Sister," Mu Yang replied with a smile, thinking to himself: I will also risk my life to protect you.
...
"Mu Xue, do you fancy Little Mu?" the Shopkeeper asked the Ice Empress after Mu Yang had stepped away.
"Ah! No, I merely treat Little Mu as my younger brother," the Ice Empress said, her face flushing slightly.
The Shopkeeper chuckled. "It is wonderful to be young."
Hearing this, the Ice Empress’s face turned even redder, and she gave no thought to the fact that her own age surpassed the Shopkeeper's by several thousand years.
...
Subsequently, Mu Yang, the Ice Empress, and the Shopkeeper set off toward the location of the Yang Phoenix.
The location of the Yang Phoenix was peculiar. The system first indicated that it was within the Sun-Moon Forest, and even more strangely, it appeared to be at the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well.
Both Mu Yang and the Ice Empress had been there before. Aside from the immortal herbs, there was nothing else in that place, which puzzled Mu Yang. However, since the system would never deceive him regarding rewards, he decided to return to the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well. He also intended to let the Shopkeeper consume an immortal herb. Although the Shopkeeper possessed an innate spirit power of level thirty, her advanced age meant her cultivation speed had slowed, rendering her little faster than an ordinary genius.
They returned to the Sun-Moon Forest. The difference this time was that the Ice Empress could now unleash her Ultimate Ice for a significantly longer duration. Previously, although she could manifest the same power, her limited spirit energy meant she could not sustain it for long, nor could she effectively dissipate the poisonous mist. Back then, it was Mu Yang who absorbed the toxins while the Ice Empress remained within a simplified version of the Dust-Red Shelter.
This time, Mu Yang navigated the path to the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well with ease.
