Chapter Twenty-Two: The Arena

Mu Yang's words moved the Snow Emperor, for after encountering the Ice Emperor, the Snow Emperor herself had begun to experience something similar to Mu Yang’s situation. Before meeting the Ice Emperor, she had only fought to survive, willing to do anything as a soul beast.
“You seem to have achieved something that took me three hundred thousand years to understand, yet you’re far too extreme. Cherishing friends is right, but you must not forget yourself,” the Snow Emperor mused silently.
Mu Yang did not focus on Snow Emperor’s expression; instead, seeing Shrek City coming clearer into view ahead, he smiled and said to her, “Sister, we’re here, just ahead. It took me a lot of effort to get inside.”
“How is this place regarded in the human world?” Snow Emperor asked.
“It’s the best academy in the entire continent, dedicated to cultivating soul masters. Its status on the continent is unrivaled,” Mu Yang explained, unaware that he had just used poisonous mist to abduct Shrek.
“Oh, by the way, Sister, can a Limit Douluo see through your true form? If they’re seriously injured?” Mu Yang asked.
“With the Eight-Angled Ice Grass, I can suppress my aura. Even a Limit Douluo would find it difficult to discover me,” Snow Emperor replied with pride.
“That’s good.” Mu Yang breathed a sigh of relief, then flew toward Shrek City.
“Grandpa, I’ve brought my sister. My name is Mu Yang, and my sister’s name is Mu Xue. We’ll be living here from now on, just as you promised me,” he said with childlike innocence to the elder of Sea God Pavilion upon arriving at Shrek Academy.
“Mu Yang, you’ll live in the fourth room to the right of the Golden Tree. If you want to go out, inform the academy and look for me at the dormitory entrance,” Elder Mu said with a gentle smile.
“Alright.” Mu Yang replied obediently, his behavior so pure that even Snow Emperor marveled at him, though only inwardly.
“Sister, let’s go.” Mu Yang said, then grabbed Snow Emperor’s hand and led her to the room Elder Mu had just mentioned.
“Not allowed to leave the academy? That person can go trouble Huo Yuhao instead,” Mu Yang thought to himself.

Reward: Soul binding with Tang Blade (Human Heart)”
As soon as the system issued the reward, Tang Blade (Human Heart) trembled in Mu Yang’s hand, and he began to sense its emotions.
Mu Yang decided to use the opportunity to upgrade the Tang Blade (Human Heart) as well.
Suddenly, Tang Blade (Human Heart) trembled violently, as if about to break free from its sheath. Its emotions became clearer to Mu Yang, and he began to faintly hear a voice.
The vibration of Tang Blade (Human Heart) caught the attention of Snow Emperor. No matter what, Mu Yang had helped her countless times—from the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well to the recent pursuit; Mu Yang had always protected her. This opportunity belonged to Mu Yang, not herself.

Tang Blade (Human Heart) had fully evolved and could speak now, though it could not take human form; its voice was that of a young girl.
