It was Muyang who controlled his own body, not the shadow Muyang.
"Are you really giving it back to me?" the shadow Muyang asked in confusion.
No one responded to Muyang; it seemed he really had regained control.
Muyang wanted to pick up Little Black, but the cat leapt out the window, landing nimbly on a branch across the way.
"Little Black, wait for me!" Muyang called, jumping onto the branch in pursuit. Yet, Little Black was a Dark Night Cat Demon, a ten-thousand-year soul beast famed for its speed; how could Muyang possibly catch it so easily?
With another graceful leap, Little Black dropped from the branch and headed toward the outskirts of Shrek Academy.
Muyang followed closely behind. After the trials of the last world, although his soul master rank was only at level thirty, his physical abilities had improved greatly.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Huo Yuhao, lacking money, had bought grilled fish near the outskirts of Shrek. He was about to hand the last skewer to Tang Ya when suddenly Little Black sprang out, bit into the fish, and darted away.
Huo Yuhao was utterly stunned. He had never imagined a cat would snatch his food so quickly—even with his spiritual detection active, he hadn’t reacted in time before the fish was stolen. Moments later, Muyang came sprinting over.
"Did you see Little Black? If you did, please let me know," Muyang asked Yuhao and Tang Ya.
Yuhao pointed in a direction, and Muyang rushed off.
"Hey! Your cat ate someone else's grilled fish, and you don't even apologize?" Tang Ya called after him.

"You can talk about apologies once you manage to beat Little Black," Muyang replied, glancing back at Tang Ya before continuing after his cat.
"What does that even mean? How could I possibly lose to a cat?" Tang Ya protested, stamping her foot in frustration.
"Senior, that cat just now seemed to be a ten-thousand-year Dark Night Cat Demon. Are you sure you could beat it?" Yuhao remarked.

"Heh, finally caught you, Little Black," Muyang said, seizing the moment and scooping the cat into his arms.
Looking up, he realized he was already in front of the dormitory building.
Grandpa Mu was sitting there, resting and recuperating. Muyang knew old Mu’s health was declining.
"Good evening, Grandpa," Muyang greeted politely.
Mu nodded, and with a single glance, he gleaned most of Muyang’s information.
"What brings you here, Muyang?" Mu asked.
"Grandpa, Little Black ran over here, so I chased after him," Muyang replied.
"Alright. By the way, tonight there's a treasure appreciation gathering. Why don't you go and see if there's anything you need?" Mu said.

Muyang’s special martial soul, the Bow Dragon, had already been discussed with the Sea God Pavilion. Due to its unique nature, it was easily mistaken for an evil soul master’s power, and they had to ensure Muyang wouldn’t fall to that path.
This made Mu feel a touch of sympathy for Muyang. In the future, Muyang would be restricted by Shrek, so Mu wanted to offer some compensation now.
"Thank you, Grandpa," Muyang replied, turning to leave.
He glanced down at Little Black in his arms and murmured, "I hope I can find something I truly desire. If not, then perhaps I’ll find something useful for you, Little Black."
Several hours passed…
Muyang entered the Treasure Pavilion…
