Chapter 121: Total Capture

Guardian General of the Nation Nine and a Half Chapters 2476 words 2026-03-24 17:16:43

Tiger was just preparing to resist when two more figures suddenly burst from the elevator!

It was Xiao Ye and Red Dragon.

Before entering the top floor, the two had specifically instructed the squad leader stationed below to send several men to reinforce them.

Those squad members had brought ropes and climbed in directly from the outermost side of the hotel building.

Meanwhile, Xiao Ye and Red Dragon had hidden beneath the corpses, evading the first search by Tiger and his men.

Working together from within and without, they had caught Tiger’s group completely off guard and brought them under control.

Although Tiger still had some strength left when he saw the men suddenly appear before him, he understood that the situation was already beyond saving.

“We have control of the situation. Don’t move, and I can guarantee your safety!”

The firearm in Xiao Ye’s hand was aimed straight at Tiger’s men as he spoke in an exceptionally calm voice.

But those who had remained were, for the most part, men who would rather die than submit.

“Xiao Ye, let me tell you the truth. At this point, we never expected to walk out alive! And neither will you!”

Before Tiger could say anything, his second-in-command let out a furious roar.

He raised his firearm and began firing indiscriminately!

Clearly, Xiao Ye and the others had not expected these men to possess such a desperate resolve.

Bullets tore through the air with shrill cracks, flying straight toward Xiao Ye!

With no other choice, everyone still inside began scrambling for cover.

Earlier, Tiger and his men had transformed the top floor into something resembling a fortress. As a result, the tables, chairs, and benches scattered everywhere now served as natural barricades.

Those furnishings had originally been the proof of these street thugs’ determination to fight Xiao Ye and his companions to the death. Unexpectedly, they had become the very means by which they might survive.

For the moment, however, the men had no time to think about that.

Seeing his subordinates fight with such courage, Tiger was deeply affected as well.

He seized the firearm at his waist, aimed it at Xiao Ye and the others, and shouted fiercely, “Brothers, that’s it! Wipe these men out!”

In an instant, muzzle flashes erupted across the top floor, and gunfire thundered without pause.

Sofa cushions, tables, chairs, and benches exploded into splinters and debris, which filled the entire room.

Still, there was no denying that the barricades they had built were highly effective.

Apart from the terrifying spectacle, not a single bullet struck Xiao Ye or his companions.

Before long, their magazines ran dry, and the room fell into a brief silence.

Xiao Ye exchanged a glance with Red Dragon. He would draw their fire while Red Dragon launched the main attack.

In the same instant, the two rose from behind their respective barricades in opposite directions.

Tiger and his men were momentarily thrown into confusion by what they saw.

Though the disarray lasted no more than three seconds, it was more than enough for Xiao Ye and Red Dragon.

Red Dragon’s body was even off balance in midair, yet the finger pressing his trigger remained utterly steady.

The muzzle flash vanished in an instant, but the bullet that flew from the barrel threaded through the gaps between countless barricades.

It struck the forehead of the man who had spoken moments earlier with deadly precision.

The glinting piece of metal vanished into his skull, and almost at the same moment, a vivid red blossom of blood burst from the back of his head.

His skull burst apart like an overripe watermelon.

Red and white matter spilled out, spraying across the faces of everyone behind him.

Tiger, who had been standing at the very back, was drenched in crimson from head to toe.

Watching the subordinate who had been alive only moments before collapse onto the floor like a heap of mud, Tiger’s mind went completely blank.

Taking advantage of the chaos, Xiao Ye seized the opportunity and shot two more men dead.

By the time the group recovered their senses, Xiao Ye and Red Dragon had already vanished behind the barricades once more.

After witnessing their comrades die so horrifically before their eyes, these hot-blooded thugs finally understood.

Xiao Ye and the others were serious.

The instant that thought entered their minds, everyone panicked.

“I’m done with this!”

“Run!”

Panic spread across the top floor amid the men’s frantic shouts.

“Don’t panic! Follow my orders!”

Tiger forced down his fear and roared at them.

But who was listening now? Everyone fled blindly, and the formation they had arranged moments earlier collapsed into utter chaos.

When gunfire erupted from Xiao Ye’s direction and the men around Tiger began scattering in every direction, the squad members who had been hiding behind the barricades finally moved.

Gunfire rang out once again, but this time it continued for much longer.

After roughly three minutes, not a single person in the room, apart from Xiao Ye and the others, remained standing unharmed.

Tiger’s condition was no better. He had been shot in the arm.

He now lay on the floor, his face deathly pale. Blood was pouring rapidly from the wound, yet he could not move.

All he could do was hope that Xiao Ye and the others would leave as soon as possible.

As long as he could get away—as long as he made it outside—he could rebuild everything from the ground up.

When that time came, he would surely kill Xiao Ye.

But thoughts were always beautiful. Reality was invariably cruel.

In less than thirty seconds, Tiger was discovered. Two squad members seized him by the arms, lifted him, and carried him before Xiao Ye.

Xiao Ye’s expression was grave.

The two men faced each other in silence for a long time.

At last, Xiao Ye spoke.

“I don’t care why you acted. Tell me who is above you, and I’ll spare your life.”

“Go to hell, Xiao Ye! I’m not falling for that!”

Tiger’s voice was weak, but his defiance remained intact.

He spat in Xiao Ye’s direction.

When Red Dragon and the squad members saw this, they were about to step forward, but Xiao Ye stopped them.

Without saying a word, he walked straight to Tiger and clamped down on the wound in his arm.

At once, pain that seemed to penetrate all the way into his bones twisted Tiger’s face into an expression of unbearable agony.

His body began convulsing involuntarily as he struggled to break free of Xiao Ye’s grip.

“I’ll say it again. I’m not asking for your permission. If you don’t talk, you die.”

Xiao Ye’s voice had turned ice-cold, and the chill in his eyes seemed almost tangible.

The blood throughout Tiger’s body felt as though it were about to freeze.

He opened his mouth, but his voice had grown exceedingly faint.

He was now hovering on the brink of death, and the bleeding from his arm had begun to slow dramatically.

Xiao Ye frowned. He intended to release him and tend to the wound before dealing with anything else.

But at that moment, an inconspicuous glimmer atop a distant rooftop caught his attention.
