The parry concluded. Just as Xiao Ye intended to end the fight, Yang Qing suddenly retreated.

"Xiao Ye, with such formidable strength, why bother yourself with a small family like this? Join us, and I guarantee you will receive dozens of times more than what the Liu family offers you!" Yang Qing said with excitement. Although the Cheng family was furious at Xiao Ye's actions, gaining such a fierce warrior for their own cause was a benefit that outweighed the risks. As long as he could pull Xiao Ye into his camp, the Cheng family's power would rise to a new level. Someone of Xiao Ye's caliber surely knew how to weigh value! Put simply, this was just a business deal; Yang Qing did not believe that someone with Xiao Ye's insight could fail to grasp that.

"Receive more rewards? The Cheng family certainly can afford it," Xiao Ye mused for a moment, speaking slowly.

Seeing him contemplate, a smile curled at the corners of Yang Qing’s mouth. He was more than ninety percent certain that Xiao Ye would accept.

"However, I refuse!" Before Yang Qing could savor his excitement, Xiao Ye declared with ironclad resolve. "The one thing I will never do in this life is defect to the enemy camp!"

"Very well, then go to hell!" Hearing the refusal, Yang Qing decided not to waste any more words. He charged forward, accompanied by his bodyguards.

"It remains to be seen who will be the one to fall!" No sooner had the words left his lips than Yang Qing and Xiao Ye collided fist-to-fist. The erupting force shattered the solid wooden table into splinters! The bodyguards could not withstand the pressure of this aura; some of the weaker ones vomited blood on the spot and collapsed. Conversely, upon taking Xiao Ye's punch, Yang Qing’s body flew uncontrollably backward, smashing into the chair behind him!

Yang Qing’s skill was not poor, yet he could not withstand a single blow from Xiao Ye! What kind of monster was this man? Not to mention the bodyguards, even Yang Qing was stunned. Looking at his shattered arm bone, he stammered in a daze, "Impossible, how can this be?"

"Nothing is impossible. With your level of skill, you had better go back and practice more!" Xiao Ye’s expression remained indifferent. Not only was he uninjured by Yang Qing’s full-force strike, but he now acted as if nothing had happened at all.

Watching the man before him, Yang Qing suddenly began to laugh hysterically. "You cheated! You must have cheated! How could a small-time nobody like you possibly injure me?" Yang Qing had served the Cheng family for years and had long roamed the martial world, used to having people bow to his whims. With few rivals, he had gradually developed an arrogant heart—a heart that had just been shattered by Xiao Ye, along with his right arm.

Looking at the delirious Yang Qing, Xiao Ye sighed and withdrew his aura. "I do not kill those who have no power to resist. Leave."

Upon hearing this, the bodyguards recovered their senses. Just as they were about to leave, Xiao Ye stopped them. "You may go, but tell the people of the Cheng family: stop playing petty tricks behind my back. I am in Jianghai City, waiting for them to come openly and aboveboard!"

The bodyguards nodded frantically and left, carrying Yang Qing with them. Old Master Liu had not stirred through all the commotion in the private room. Xiao Ye untied him and called for an ambulance.

...

Several hours after arriving at the hospital, the old man finally regained consciousness. "Where are those people?" The first thing Old Master Liu did upon waking was to search anxiously for Yang Qing and his men, terrified that they would threaten him again.

"It's alright, Old Master Liu. I have taken care of them," Xiao Ye said, gripping the old man’s trembling hands to soothe him.

After calming down, Old Master Liu recounted what had happened. "Those people now know the current position of the Liu family. They certainly won't let us go easily. The road ahead will likely be difficult!" The old man sounded dejected, sighing in secret sorrow. He hated that the Liu family lacked the power and that he himself was so advanced in years.

"What do you plan to do next?"

"What else can I do? Take it one step at a time. As long as I am alive for one more day, the Liu family will never bow to them!" Despite his words, the old man showed spirit, a strange glint flashing in his eyes.

"I actually think this matter is quite simple to resolve: we dismantle the Cheng family."

Old Master Liu turned his head, only to see the dead-serious expression on Xiao Ye’s face.

...

After talking for about two hours, Xiao Ye walked out of the hospital. Red Dragon was waiting downstairs; Xiao Ye had called him over when he summoned help earlier. Starting the car, the two headed toward the villa.

However, as they passed an intersection, a homeless man blocked their path. Red Dragon rolled down the window and addressed the man. "Don't block the road, old man. If you want money, I'll give it to you!"

The homeless man remained unmoved. Red Dragon, feeling curious, was about to get out of the car, but Xiao Ye stopped him. "I'll go check."

Xiao Ye opened the door and walked up to the man. "Old man, do you need any help?"

Xiao Ye leaned in, intending to shake the man's hand. The man reached out, but his grip was unnatural; he grabbed Xiao Ye’s sleeve and gave a violent tug! Xiao Ye was wearing a denim jacket, which no ordinary person could tear. Yet, not only was a piece of the clothing ripped away, but the man’s grip also left several bloody scratches on Xiao Ye’s hand!

Xiao Ye stepped back, a look of genuine surprise on the man’s face. "You brat, you took my Dragon Claw technique and only sustained a few scratches?" A sharp glint flashed in the disheveled man’s eyes as he discarded the scrap of cloth.

Red Dragon, sensing danger, prepared to step out of the car, but Xiao Ye stopped him again.

"Who are you?" Xiao Ye asked, surprised, as he had no memory of such a person.

"Brat, telling you won't hurt. I don't change my name or surname: I am your grandfather, You Sifang!" You Sifang’s mouth was filled with yellowed teeth that emitted a foul odor as he grinned at Xiao Ye.

"You Sifang? How arrogant!" Xiao Ye curled his lip, looking at the man with disdain.

"Let me tell you the truth, kid: your taunts don't work on me. I’ve lived this long by doing exactly as I please!" You Sifang ignored the mockery, beckoning Xiao Ye with a provocative flick of his fingers. "Enough talk. Someone paid me to kill you. Let's finish the task so I can get some rest!"

This man was different from the small-time thugs he had faced before. Xiao Ye snorted coldly. From their brief exchange, he could tell the man’s hand techniques were extraordinary—likely a form of grappling. When taken to the extreme, such techniques could snap a person's tendons and dislocate their bones with a mere flick.
