The tattooed man stumbled to his feet, but the Scarlet Dragon had already taken the person away. Standing right before him, Xiao Ye blocked his path.

"Bastard!"

Having been thwarted twice, the tattooed man felt a surge of fury rising within him. He found Xiao Ye particularly detestable at this moment. Just a single step away from success, Qin Xue'er had been taken away, meaning his path to promotion had once again slipped out of his reach.

"Today, you should never have dragged that woman into this!" Xiao Ye looked at the man coldly, his aura fully unleashed, resembling a bloodthirsty demon from the abyss.

"Go to hell! Do you really think you're some kind of badass?" the tattooed man roared angrily. Although Xiao Ye's presence was startling, he was not entirely terrified. After all, having spent so much time in the underground world, he still knew a thing or two about fighting.

In the next second, he lunged forward directly, grabbed an iron rod lying on the ground, and charged fiercely at Xiao Ye with a roar. Fight if they must; the tattooed man couldn't be bothered to waste any more words!

The iron rod was a full three centimeters thick. A crazed look twisted the tattooed man's face—this time, he was determined to send Xiao Ye straight to the hospital.

Fantasies are always unrealistic. The tattooed man thought his movements were fast enough, but as the iron rod came crashing down, a spine-chilling event occurred!

The iron rod struck Xiao Ye's arm. Logically speaking, his arm should have snapped instantly upon impact!

Instead, a muffled thud echoed out. A sharp, violent pain shot through the web of his hand, and the iron rod in his grip snapped directly into two pieces. With a clatter, they fell straight to the ground.

Hearing that sound, the tattooed man's heart skipped a beat. What kind of physical fortitude was required to withstand an attack like that?!

However, before he could even react, Xiao Ye's fists and feet descended upon him abruptly!

The tattooed man was sent flying backward through the air. The sheer impact made it impossible for him to steady himself, and he slid a full three meters across the ground before he finally managed to halt his momentum.

A wave of agony traveled from his stomach straight up into his brain. The man desperately wanted to vomit, but all that trickled from the corner of his mouth was a thick, blood-stained mucus!

Xiao Ye had not held back his punch; it had nearly pulverized the internal organs within his torso!

"Stop... stop, I surrender!" Feeling the suffocating pressure of a life-and-death crisis, the tattooed man reached out, intending to call a halt to the fight.

Yet Xiao Ye paid him no mind, striding directly to his side and throwing another punch.

The tattooed man still possessed some rudimentary combat experience; he reacted and tried to defend himself! But how could Xiao Ye's fist be something he could block?

A crisp snapping sound rang out as his forearm bone shattered directly.

The tattooed man let out a shriek of agony, but Xiao Ye's assault was far from over. He lashed out with a ferocious kick once more.

With a loud bang, a massive impact echoed across the tattooed man's abdomen! More than half of his lungs were crushed by Xiao Ye!

At this point, blood spewed wildly from his mouth, and his nose and mouth were filled with filth. He lay there like a dead dog, his limbs twitching uncontrollably.

"Stop... stop..." The tattooed man could no longer speak coherently, able only to emit weak, raspy sounds.

Yet Xiao Ye had no intention of letting him go. Suddenly raising his foot, he brought his heel down viciously onto the man's spine.

Another series of cracking sounds filled the air. The tattooed man's eyes bulged wide, his vision swimming in crimson. In the next instant, all the life drained out of him, and his body slumped completely onto the ground.

"I want the rest of your life. Even if you manage to survive, you will spend it enduring endless torture." Xiao Ye stood in silence for a long while before coldly spitting out these words.

...

Da Biao walked out of the conference room, his expression far from pleasant. Although they had summoned him to a meeting, he could not feel an ounce of respect from those people.

He glanced at his watch with a hint of perplexity. The tattooed man had said he would meet him in the afternoon, and by his calculations, the timing should have been fine.

"What is the deal with Xiao Jin, that kid?" Da Biao asked his subordinate walking beside him. Xiao Jin was the tattooed man in question. Although the fellow could be unreliable at times, he had never messed up a task before.

However, the subordinates surrounding him only exchanged blank glances, having no clue what had transpired.

A creeping sense of unease settled in Da Biao's chest, prompting him to quickly lead his men back to their stronghold. Upon arrival, the sight of his underlings lying strewn across the ground sent a jolt of absolute terror through him.

"Hurry up inside and check on the situation!" Driven by a mounting sense of foreboding, Da Biao rushed inward with his men at his heels. After a brief investigation, he discovered that the tattooed man known as Xiao Jin had met with disaster.

"Xiao Jin!" Da Biao's eyelids twitched frantically as he sprinted to the tattooed man's side. He shook the other man desperately, but Xiao Jin had already lapsed into a deep coma and was entirely unable to speak.

"When we came in, we didn't see anyone around. Xiao Jin and the others were already lying on the ground like this," a subordinate standing nearby reported.

"Then what are you waiting for?! Go investigate! Or are you expecting me to personally find out who did this?!" Da Biao roared angrily, startling his men into rushing out in panic.

The situation was critical, and Da Biao needed to handle it immediately!

Just then, the figure of a man suddenly lunged into view.

"Brother!"

The newcomer was none other than Xiao Jin's biological brother, Da Jin. Many years ago, the two brothers had ventured out to wander and survive together, finally carving out a name for themselves in this underworld. But now...

Da Biao frowned. Da Jin was not technically his own direct subordinate, but he was well aware of the deep bond between the brothers, so he had tacitly permitted his presence.

"Who the hell did this?!" Veins bulged on Da Jin's forehead, his eyes completely bloodshot as a piercing, shrill cry tore from his throat!

"I've already sent people to investigate. We'll have results shortly!" Da Biao said from the side.

Before long, the dispatched subordinate returned, clutching a photograph in his hand. Da Biao snatched the photo, but the face pictured upon it filled him with cold dread!

It was none other than Xiao Ye, the focal figure of that afternoon's meeting!

"Boss, it was this guy. Are we going to take action now?" His subordinate trailed off, hesitating. Da Biao understood the unspoken meaning behind the words.

His own men had been beaten; as the boss, he naturally had to step up to settle the score. Yet, the perpetrator was Xiao Ye, the man who had turned the entire underground world upside down. For a moment, Da Biao found himself caught in a dilemma, unsure whether to advance or retreat.

"Boss Biao, I don't know what you're thinking, but I have to avenge my brother!" A chilling frost covered Da Jin's face, his resolve absolute and unwavering.

Da Biao nodded, paused for a moment, and then continued, "I understand how you feel, but this matter is of grave importance and definitely not that simple."

"Here is what we'll do: I am handing this entire matter over to you to handle. Recovering our lost face, and avenging your brother whose life hangs in the balance—you will exact all these revenges yourself!"

Handling it this way was practically the optimal solution. He could regain his prestige without having to personally embroil himself in the conflict.

Upon hearing these words, a fierce, icy glint flashed deep within Da Jin's eyes.

"Thank you, Boss Biao!"
