VIP Volume Chapter 143: An Irreconcilable Death Match
Already outside the main gate, the old shepherd slapped his thigh and shouted, "You foolish boy, the load-bearing wall has collapsed, the whole house is coming down, get out of here quickly!"
Seventh Master Gou said with a puzzled expression, "That's strange. We didn't use any explosives, so how could it cause such massive destruction?"
The Baldy shook his head and said, "I just saw the Wolf King run away carrying a large chest. Why are his wolf pups still here?"
The old shepherd looked at the two of them in terror and said, "There is only one phenomenon that could cause this kind of consequence, and that is..."
The Baldy also scratched his head in dismay and blurted out, "That means there is a master present whose cultivation surpasses the Martial King realm! Their aura crushed the house and trapped these wolf pups right here!"
A master surpassing the Martial King realm? Such a thing existed only in myths! Yet, all of them could feel that he was right here, because they could already sense that incomparable, overwhelming aura spreading outward, centered on that dark side room!
The old shepherd looked toward the location of the side room, his mouth agape as he muttered to himself, "I knew it was you! I said so all along! My guess was right after all!"
Seventh Master Gou suddenly raised his head and cursed, "Son of a bitch! Get your ass down here!"
Both the old shepherd and the Baldy looked up in confusion following his gaze, only to see a dark figure running across the row of adjacent rooftops. With a flick of his wrist, he cast a rope hook, and an enemy lunging toward him was inexplicably bound hand and foot in mid-air, rolling off the rooftop like a tightly wrapped rice dumpling!
Seventh Master Gou stared at the rooftop, akimbo, and scolded angrily, "This kid's usual courage is no bigger than a mouse's, and now with so many Wolf Pack members in there, isn't he just courting death? Let's rush in and save him right now!"
The Baldy suddenly grabbed his arm and yelled, "It's too late!" With a deafening roar, the main house finally collapsed!
"Save them!" Without sparing another word, the old shepherd strode straight through the main gate! Thick clouds of dust billowed and lingered. In less than two minutes, everyone looked like a line of terracotta warriors, covered head-to-toe in dust as if they had just been excavated from the earth!
The entire main house had been reduced to ruins. Wooden beams, bricks, and stones filled the original rooms, and countless people were buried beneath the rubble!
Right above Xiao Xuan's original room, Hao the Six-Fingered pressed his left arm tightly against a broken beam tucked under his armpit, while his right hand gripped a long ox-hook. The other end of the hook was buried deep beneath the ruins!
Seventh Master Gou panicked and shouted at Hao the Six-Fingered, "You little bastard, let go! That structure is about to collapse too, it'll crush you to death!"
Hao gripped the ox-hook rope tightly with his right hand while his left arm trembled uncontrollably. A long wooden splinter had pierced deep into his upper arm, and fresh blood had already soaked the entire left side of his body. Yet, he gritted his teeth and wrapped the ox-hook rope round and round around his right arm!
With every single wrap, his body grew tenser, and the wound on his left arm tore open another inch! The veins on Hao's forehead throbbed violently. The excruciating pain caused him to bite through his lips without even realizing it, but his right arm stubbornly continued to wind the rope, not stopping for even a single second!
The ox-hook rope grew shorter. Beneath the ruins at its end, a large mound bulged slightly, as if a massive fish hooked on a line was about to be reeled in!
With a loud crash, a figure burst out from beneath the earth! Covered in blood, with almost no unblemished skin left on his exposed upper body, he clenched Hao's ox-hook rope firmly between his teeth. His naturally withered left arm hung limply by his side, while his strong right arm on the other side gripped a man tightly by the shoulder, slowly lifting him up!
The old shepherd cried out in heartache, "My apprentice!" Tears brimming in his eyes, he rushed forward. At the same time, Seventh Master Gou swept out a hook to wrap around Ye Dajun's body, dragging him out from the debris!
In Ye Dajun's right hand, he held Xiao Xuan, whose eyes were bleeding tears of blood. Cradled within Xiao Xuan's arms were two people who had been dead for some time—the corpses of Father Ye and Jiang Guihua!
Xiao Xuan's aura had actually shattered the entire room, even blasting a crater about three meters in diameter into the ground. All ten Wolf Pack disciples caught inside the room had perished without a single survivor!
Xiao Xuan carefully placed Father Ye's corpse onto his own back, then gently pushed away Ye Dajun, who had stepped forward to help. He picked up Jiang Guihua's corpse with one arm, slowly walked out of the ruins, and laid the two bodies down tenderly in the courtyard.
At that exact moment, a muffled sound echoed from the wall of the side room, followed immediately by the thunderous collapse of Xiao Xuan's former room!
In that very instant, everyone witnessed with their own eyes as Xiao Xuan seemed to vanish into thin air! Dust and debris billowed once again. When everything finally settled, Xiao Xuan's figure reappeared amidst the ruins, holding Hao the Six-Fingered in his arms and using his own back to shield him from the falling bricks and timber!
Right beside them, Ye Dajun stood holding his head with both arms, using the majority of his own body to protect both Xiao Xuan and Hao underneath him!
Xiao Xuan wiped the dust from Hao the Six-Fingered's face, staring at the ghastly, nearly transparent bloody hole in his left arm. A sharp pang pierced his heart, and with tears welling in his eyes, he forced a smile and said, "Kid, you've always hated getting mixed up in this kind of chaos. Why go crazy today? You should have let go!"
Hao's face was as pale as a sheet of paper. Massive blood loss had left him somewhat delirious. Hearing Xiao Xuan's words, he forced a weak grin and whispered, "My only friends are you two brothers. If I had let go at that moment, I wouldn't have any friends left..." As soon as he finished speaking, his head lolled to the side, and he lost consciousness completely!
Xiao Xuan stood up tall, picked up Hao the Six-Fingered, and accompanied by Ye Dajun, strode out of the ruins. He laid them down before Seventh Master Gou and said in a low voice, "No matter what, save their lives!"
Having said that, Xiao Xuan turned around, gazing at the dozen or so Wolf Pack disciples still struggling amidst the rubble. Hatred blazed in his eyes as he slowly walked over, standing atop the highest pile of ruins, and called out softly, "Come here!"
The Crimson Dragon had already returned inside Xiao Xuan's body, and the heaven-destroying aura had vanished from him. Yet, his spoken words faintly carried the supreme majesty of a monarch, compelling obedience and commanding absolute reverence.
The remaining Wolf Pack disciples stood before Xiao Xuan one by one, looking battered and bruised, staring at him with utmost vigilance. Their original team of twenty-two now numbered a mere eight.
The Wolf Pack had suffered such a devastating and brutal blow for the very first time, far exceeding their expectations. They also recognized the extraordinary nature of the young man before them. For a moment, no one dared to make another move, all watching Xiao Xuan with wary eyes.
Xiao Xuan closed his eyes, took a long, deep breath, and slowly said, "No matter who it was, whoever killed my parents will pay with their lives!"
The eight Wolf Pack disciples couldn't help but shiver. Although they didn't know how their comrades who entered the house had died, they firmly believed that Xiao Xuan was not making empty threats!
Xiao Xuan continued speaking to them, "Enough people have died tonight; I don't want to kill any more! But that doesn't mean I won't kill in the future! Go back and tell your boss, it's either him or me until the bitter end!"
