Chapter 141: Sharing a Bed with Tang Jiu

Tang Jiu instantly blushed from ear to ear, quickly moving away from Xu Yun before tightly wrapping herself in a bath towel. With a shy voice, she scolded, "Xu Yun, you're hateful!"

That single word sent a tingling sensation straight to Xu Yun's bones, almost making him surrender on the spot. "Alright, I think I'd better go get another room..."

"No need. I know you're not that kind of person. Even in the same room, you wouldn't do anything," Tang Jiu said calmly.

Xu Yun gave a bitter smile, thinking to himself, *Don't you know what beastly instincts mean? That's definitely not something human nature can control.*

"Let's go to sleep, I'm tired." Tang Jiu was remarkably bold. As soon as she finished speaking, she lay down right next to Xu Yun, turned off the light, and whispered, "Xu Yun, thank you, really."

Xu Yun smiled wryly inside. What was this supposed to mean?

"Is there something wrong with your head? Where the hell are you kicking first thing in the morning? Damn it... if my future wife finds out, she'll fight you to the death!" Xu Yun grimaced in pain. That unprovoked, defenseless kick was simply too ruthless.

Tang Jiu still looked at Xu Yun with stunned astonishment, wrapping the blanket tightly around herself as she asked nervously, "Why are you here? Where is this? What kind of place did you drag me to?!"

Xu Yun was left speechless, still wincing and baring his teeth in pain. "You really are a VIP with a short memory, turning your back on people the moment you wake up. Wasn't it you who practically forced me to go drinking with you yesterday? If I hadn't stopped you, your so-called Second Brother would have dragged you back to Jibei long ago! I said we should get another room, and you said there was no need. Damn it, now you're just denying everything?"

Seeing Xu Yun pressing the issue relentlessly, Tang Jiu rolled her eyes and retorted, "I said one room was fine, but did I ever say the same bed was fine?"

"Is there another bed in this room?" Xu Yun reached out, gesturing around the space. "Take a good look around. Is there any other bed in this room besides this one?"

"There's the sofa, isn't there?" Tang Jiu mumbled defensively, knowing she was in the wrong.

Xu Yun nodded. "Fine, fine, you win, I admit defeat, okay? Starting today, you walk your narrow bridge and I'll walk my wide road; we'll mind our own business and never cross paths again. Is that satisfactory? I surrender to you."

Hearing this, Tang Jiu immediately protested, "No way! You promised to help me yesterday!"

"How come you didn't forget about that part along with everything else?" Xu Yun felt like vomiting blood. So not everything from yesterday was wiped clean from her memory; the part where she made him work like an ox and a horse was retained, while the part about him sleeping in the same bed was completely erased. Unbelievable.

"Do you really have to be so petty with a girl? It was just a kick, what's the big deal?" Tang Jiu stuck out the tip of her tongue. "I already apologized. What's done is done, what else can you do? Fine, I'll treat you to grilled mutton kidneys tonight, alright?"

Xu Yun immediately hammered down the deal. "Two skewers!"

Tang Jiu laughed through her tears, thinking how easy this guy was to handle. She could only agree, "Deal..."

Xu Yun's groin pain finally began to subside. He pointed at his clothes trapped beneath the blanket rolled up by Tang Jiu and said, "What? Haven't you looked enough? Can you give me my pants back first?"

Tang Jiu's face flared red once more as she snapped angrily, "Turn around! I need to change my clothes first!"

"Uh, then I'll go get them for you." With that, Xu Yun got up and walked straight toward the bathroom under Tang Jiu's completely frozen gaze.

The moment Xu Yun's figure vanished, Tang Jiu had a sudden epiphany of horror—all the clothes she had taken off yesterday were sitting right there in the bathroom laundry basket!

However, Xu Yun didn't give Tang Jiu any time to catch her breath. He walked right out of the bathroom carrying her clothes—including her undergarments, of course—and tossed them onto the bed with a wicked grin. "Oh, wow, look at that. Who would've guessed you're packing a legendary G-cup?"

Tang Jiu's eyes widened in fury. If it were anyone else, she would have flipped out long ago, but hearing Xu Yun say it only filled her entire body with a strange, delicate bashfulness. Aside from blushing, all she could do was blush more.

Even Tang Jiu, who had always been fearless, was reduced to showing the shyness of a young maiden at a moment like this. If word of this got out, probably even her own father, Tang Tianzheng, wouldn't believe it.

Xu Yun waved his hand dismissively, turned around, and sat down. "Everything worth seeing was already seen last night anyway, it's not that special anymore. You'd better hurry up and get dressed.
